The Church of England launches #LIVELENT App : A Daily Discipleship for Christian faith
#LiveLent is a daily discipleship journey through the Gospel of John from the Church of England, exploring what it means to be a witness to the Christian faith.
It begins on Ash Wednesday (14 February 2018) and ends on Easter Day (1 April 2018).
#LiveLent explores two questions:
– How can I receive God’s life more fully?
– How can I share God’s life generously and joyfully with others?
For every day of Lent 2018 you can:
– Read or listen to a short passage from the Gospel of John (NRSV translation);
– Enjoy a short reflection and invitation to pause and apply the passage to your life;
– Pray about your own journey of faith and how you can help others to find God’s life;
– Act as a witness, doing something each day to make God’s life a reality for others.
Each week of #LiveLent introduces a new theme, with questions for reflection and links to free discussion materials.
The #LiveLent app has been developed in association with Thy Kingdom Come, the global prayer movement, based on the Church House Publishing book by John Kiddle.
It also offers you the chance to listen to or read the Prayer for the Day from the Church of England, which many thousands will be praying with you.
You can also use the app to find details of your nearest Church of England churches thanks to AChurchNearYou.com
