Sadhu Vaswani Mission Serves In Pandemic Times
Pune. As India battles the pandemic and remains in a lockdown, trying to break the chain, multitudes have had to make the roads and pavements their homes. As the nation came to a standstill to achieve a larger, greater good, many as our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, shall bear the brunt of it and as citizens it remains our duty to stand in solidarity and love with such ones. So does the Mission!
Further to securing permissions from the authorities, Sadhu Vaswani Mission went about distributing biscuits, khichdi, wada pav, chiwda and water to many across the city of Pune. With folded hands and gratitude, the recipients accepted the Mission’s humble offering. It must also be commended here that several NGO’s have come out in this battle against the pandemic.
The Mission has undertaken to carry on the seva activities of providing a one-time meal on a daily basis during the lockdown.
The food distributed is cooked at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission with safety and sanitary procedures in place. The volunteers maintain due protocol of social distancing by distributing food mostly from the cars while wearing masks, gloves and keeping themselves sanitised at all times.
