Coronavirus Outbreak : Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur Noble Initiatives
In the wake of the Novel Coronavirus outbreak, the world is witnessing a rise in panic, fear and anxiety. Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) has thus launched impactful initiatives to provide relief and support to all those affected by this situation and battling with the virus head on.
We are extending ourselves in every way and partnering with the Government and other relevant organizations for:
- distributing protective equipment such as N95 masks, bio suits, ventilators, beds, etc. to frontliners and several hospitals.
- providing professional intubation and ventilation training to doctors and nurses in government hospitals
- preparing over 15 lakh nutritious meals for frontliners, daily wagers and families in remote areas, over the course of this month
- feeding as well as treating stray animals through mobile veterinary services
Over 500 volunteers of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur have selflessly partaken in these activities, including cooking, packing and delivering the meals themselves. We have also introduced online initiatives for ensuring the mental well-being and productivity of youth across the globe.
These relief programmes are currently being carried out across villages of South Gujarat and cities like Mumbai, Pune, Akola, Vadodara, Surat, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. We have also introduced a special helpline for people to reach out to us.
