Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha : Upanaya Sanskara in Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth Tapobhoomi
Goa. Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth Tapobhoomi Goa in association with Shree Gopalkrishna Gajanan Devasthan Kaswada, Talavali organized the “Upanaya Sanakara” rituals on the occasion of the grand event “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha” to be held in Ponda city.
Goa the land of Gods is blessed with rich cultural heritage. Swami Brahmanand Vedik Gurukul & Research institute of Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth Tapobhoomi is on a mission to promote & preserve the culture of India through various cultural activities under the divine guidance of Peethdhishwar H.H Dharmabhushan Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swamiji. With H.H. Sadguruji’s divine teachings, the essence of Sanskara is being delivered to the masses by organizing events which give opportunity to the people to perform the Sanskara. These activities have motivated Goans to learn Sanskrit, Jyotish, other Indian science subjects.
Upanayan Sanskara – which is the most important ritual is being performed every year in the houses of Goans. Hundreds of Batus have been a part of this sacred thread ceremony, and have started following the Vedik Culture thereafter. The child worships the Lord Suryanarayan daily for a successful living.
This is a revolutionary step taken by H.H.Sadguruji in reinstating the Sanskaras given by the great Vedik culture.
The sacred thread wearing ceremony which involved locals from Ponda on 10th Feb 2019, was held in the distinguished presence of Mr. Chetan -Temple President) , Mrs-Tanvi ji-Presidnet of the organising committee of Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha), Suraj Naik( Secretary, Temple committee), Atharvavedacharya Anup Shelar, Khushaliji-Treasurer & others. participated in the ceremony.
During this auspicious sacred thread ceremony, Lord Agni Narayan Upasana, Gayatri Mantra Upadesh from the father, taking the first Bhiksha from mother, Navgraha Mantra havan & other rituals were performed.
