Dada J.P. Vaswani meets Pope Francis at The Vatican
October 11, 2017
They met, their eyes locked, seeming to peer into each other’s souls – as they sought blessings of each other. Both greeted each other in utter humility and love, on 11th October 2017 in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City, Rome. Pope Francis showed pleasant surprise to learn that Dada J.P. Vaswani was an author of 150+ books and about Dada’s work in the field of education. And they spoke on the importance of education in the home and schools – the need of the hour – that needs to be focused more, affirmed the Pope.
Earlier, on 10th October, Dada met and had an interesting dialogue with a group of officials of The Vatican that included Michela Carboniero, Fabrizio Petri, President, Comitato Interminsteriale Diritti Umani & Salvatore Martinez, Presidente, Fondazione Vaticana, Centro Internazionale, Famiglia di Nazareth. The core of the discussions was based on the issues of religious harmony. The group gravitated to Dada’s message that it is not Religion that has failed us, it is we that have failed religion – ‘Religion – let us talk of it less, practise more’. The answer to Religious harmony lies in this – that one who is born in a particular faith, must bear witness to the teachings of that faith – a True Hindu, a true Muslim, a true Christian thus – will bring about the harmony that the world needs desperately.
