About Sadhu T.L. Vaswani –
Former President of India, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan said, “I have great respect for the saintly character and life of the late Sadhu T.L. Vaswani. His life has been an example of great simplicity and utter dedication and many people in different parts of this country and elsewhere are indebted to him for the spiritual enlightenment they received from his work and writings.”
Sadhu Vaswani was an educationist, saint, philosopher, a patriot who in his time, rubbed shoulders with the likes of Mahatma Gandhi and Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. He was one of the earliest advocates of Mahatma Gandhi’s Satyagraha Movement. Subsequently he devoted his energies to developing and shaping India’s destiny by imparting to its youth an education that prepares them for a meaningful life and livelihood. Today, there are 15 schools and colleges that impart character-building education to over 16,000 students. A visionary who propagated women rights and animal rights, his birthday, November 25th is observed as International Meatless Day.
The noble work of Sadhu Vaswani is now being carried out by his spiritual heir Rev. Dada JP Vaswani who is not only one of India’s most respected spiritual leaders, but also a distinguished scientist, philosopher and educationist in his own right. Under his inspiring leadership, Sadhu Vaswani Mission has been carrying out its humanitarian service programmes, extending its helping hand to all sections of society in the fields of education, medical care, animal welfare, village upliftment, relief and rehabilitation and women’s welfare. The Mission’s activities transcend all boundaries of caste, creed and community, for Rev. Dada believes in the Unity of all religions.
“Those who live for themselves alone, always die. Those who live for others always live on,” Anna Hazare, speaking on Sadhu Vaswani, urging youths at the Peace March, 2011, to live a life of sacrifice for others following the example of Sadhu Vaswani, as he paid tribute to the great saint at the Peace March.

Some great quotes by Sadhu Vaswani –
* Keep The Lights Burning!
There is a Temple better than any which human hands may make. It is the Temple of the Heart. Within it keep the lights burning – the lights of Truth and Love
* Scripture of Life
Every one of us is writing a shastra, a jeevan veda, a scripture of life. What story does it tell of the part we have played? What have we done on the battle-field of life? Had our food and clothes and slept? Sought ease and comfort? But there is in every one of us, a hidden Self that will not be gratified with the things we seek.
