Karnataka State Government releases funds for 74 Churches

The state government of Karnataka has introduced several schemes for the betterment of different religions. Recently the Government has announced 11.07 crore for the Development of Churches in 74 churches.
The Government has announced offered the funds under the Christian Development Programme. With this grants as many as 74 Churches in Dakshina Kannada, Udipi and Bengaluru Urban shall benefit. The funds shall be used to construct, renovate and develop the Churches.
Churches which received a grant of Rs 50 lakh include St Francis Xavier’s Church of Sullia, St Ignatius Loyola Church of Palladka in Mangalore, St Francis Xavier’s Church in Udupi, St Michael’s Church of Ammunje in Bantwal, Infant Jesus Church of Modankap in Bantwal and Immaculate Conception Church of Kinnigoli. Rosario Cathedral, Mangalore. St. Salwador church, ST frances Xavier church Bailoor. Immqulate church, Gangolli, ST Milagres Church Kalyanpur. Other churches shall be receiving the grants as the requirement.
Besides three districts, a number of other cities of Karnataka too received grants to renovate old-churches.
