Mahant Swami Maharaj, the Head of Swami Narayan Temple visits Sadhu Vaswani Mission
Pune. The early morning of the Thanksgiving Week at Pune heralded the arrival of Mahant Swami Maharaj. He is the present Guru and president of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, an international Hindu socio-spiritual organization. Visiting Pune, he came in love & homage to Dada J.P. Vaswani at the sacred Samadhi in Sadhu Vaswani Mission on February 19, 2019.
He offered prayers in Dada Vaswani’s fragrant memory. He was honoured with traditional shawl and coconut. He was also presented with Dada’s Centenary Volume – Alphabets of Good Life and the centenary releases.

What Mahant Swami Maharaj special about Thanksgiving Week?
The Thanksgiving Week is held to express gratitude to God for the gift of Dada J.P. Vaswani who offered 100 years of his life dedicated to service and sacrifice. Dada often urged us that the best attitude is gratitude. “Count your blessings and thank God, every living, waking, moment – for God’s generosity to you is infinite!” In keeping with Dada’s ideals, special service programmes, prayers and events are conducted. Thanksgiving Week also focuses on poor, needy patients who suffer from debilitating heart ailments. To them, are made available free diagnostic tests like the ECG, Echo and Angiography, and to as many of them as possible, concessional cardiac surgery for their condition. Thanksgiving Week is observed every year from February 18-24 where people sing and serve, all in the praise of God and Guru.
