No Private hotels for Haj pilgrims

With the Government of India instructing the State Haj Committees to make appropriate security arrangements, the AP Haj Committee has decided against accommodating the Haj pilgrims in Private Hotels. AP Haj pilgrims will now be accommodated in the Haj House from there they will go to the airport.

It is being said that the Committee took the decision in view of the instructions issued by Governement of India for making security arrangements, Mr. A.K. Khan advised the officials of A.P. Haj Committee to withdraw the decision to accommodate its pilgrims in private hotels.

Sharing of expenses for Haj camp arrangements has been amicably settled by both AP Haj Committee and Telangana Haj Committees. AP Haj Committee agreed to share the expenses proportionately and it will soon release Rs. 30 lakh as advance.

The meeting of the officials of both the Haj Committees was held in Secretariat yesterday. Present in the meeting were Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Prof. SA Shukoor, Special Officer, Telangana Haj Committee, Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS (Rtd.), Advisor to Govt. on Minority Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Shareef, TDP MLC of A.P. and Mr. Liyakhat Ali Executive Officer of A.P. Haj Committee.

The expenses on Haj camp arrangements will be shared proportionally according to the number of Haj pilgrims.

It may be mentioned that Haj camp will start at Haj House, Nampally on 11th August. The flights of Haj pilgrims will start on 13th August. Haj pilgrims of Telangana will fly during the first 5 days whereas during the remaining period, up to 24th August, the Haj pilgrims of A.P. and Karnataka will fly. Haj pilgrims travelling by Saudi Airlines will wear Ahram and go to Jeddah.
