Saints commemorated Tulsi Vivah at Goa Raj Bhawan

Saints are the keepers of traditions. In Hindu Religion there is a long tradition of respecting nature on festivals. The same feeling was seen yesterday when saints from North and Western India gathered to commemorate Tulsi Vivah occassion in the Raj Bhavan of Goa.

Tulsi Vivah is the ceremonial marriage of the Tulsi (holy basil) plant to the Hindu god Shaligram orLord Vishnu or to his avatar, Lord Krishna. The Tulsi wedding signifies the end of the monsoon and the beginning of the wedding season in Hindu Religion.

Tapobhoomi Ashram of Goa and its spiritual head Sadhguru Brahmeshanandacharyaji has organised the mega occasion of Tulsi Vivah and invited saints from all over India. Mahant Rishishwaranandji from Chetan Jyoti Ashram and Baba Hathyogiji, Gaurishankar Ashram from Haridwar are specially invited wiht holy water of Ganga. They all blessed the honourable governor Mridula Sinha with gifting the water as prasad.
