Telangana State Wakf Board faces Financial Crisis
Telangana State Wakf Board is facing financial crisis, it has less income and more expenditure presently.
According to the sources if this situation continues for a long it may not be possible for the Wakf Board to pay the salaries for its staff. It’s being said that for the past 3 years, there has been a steady decline in the income for the Wakf Board.
The chairman of Wakf Board has instructed the officials to take necessary steps to collect arrears of rents. Sources say that there are many properties which have been not paying any rents for the past few years. In addition to this, many wakf institutions – Makkah Madina Alauddin Trust and Nabi Khana Maulvi Akbar, Pathergatti also have not been paying wakf fund regularly.
Mr. Saleem has decided to launch a special campaign for collecting rents for which it is also suggested to seek police help. The CEO of Wakf Board in fact threatened the employees that their salaries from month of July shall not be paid if they show lethargy in collecting rents.
To find a solution to the crisis Wakf Board has decided to convene its meeting after the Bonalu festival and resolve the issues.
