World Peace Centre Inaugurated in India to Promote a Stress-Free, Non-Violent World: Acharya Lokesh Muni
On March 2, 2025, Acharya Lokesh Muni, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, inaugurated India’s first World Peace Centre in Gurugram, Haryana. This initiative is designed with the vision of addressing global conflicts and promoting peace, aiming to create a stress-free and non-violent world.

Acharya Lokesh Muni’s Vision:
- Acharya Lokesh Muni explained that the World Peace Centre is established to swiftly resolve conflicts wherever they arise, ensuring that issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- The center will have peace ambassadors across the globe whose responsibility will be to intervene and promote peace when conflicts emerge, whether due to race, religion, community, or regional differences.
- He emphasized that ongoing wars, particularly those affecting innocent lives like children and women, are devastating to economies and societies. The World Peace Centre’s initiative is focused on resolving conflicts before they escalate, bringing all parties to the negotiating table earlier to prevent prolonged wars and suffering.
World Peace Centre’s Role:
- The center will be particularly focused on resolving religious intolerance and promoting Lord Mahavir’s principle of Anekant Darshan (respecting diverse viewpoints).
- It will also spread India’s cultural values like Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramaya (may all be happy and free from illness).
- The center will operate globally through a network of peace ambassadors and peace soldiers, who will be dedicated to serving peace efforts worldwide.

- Following the inauguration, the Virat Sant Sammelan and Amrit Manthan were held at the World Peace Centre.
- Acharya Lokesh Muni remarked that this event marked a spiritual confluence akin to the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj. He noted that Haryana is the land from which the message of the Bhagavad Gita spread, and now, it would be the place from which the message of world peace would be delivered.
