Yoga Enthusiasts Likely To ‘Warrior’ Into Guinness World Records This International Yoga Day
19 June 2019, Bengaluru: The Art of Living along with partner organisations will attempt a Guinness World Record on International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2019. The attempt will be to hold Veerabhadrasana (Warrior Pose) for 3 minutes at 22 locations in India with a maximum number of participants.
Trained Sri Sri Yoga teachers of Art of Living will guide the participants to hold the posture and attempt a record at multiple locations for the first time, including at Bargarh, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Damanjodi, Guntur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhencherry, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Phaltan, Raipur, Rewari, Thiruvananthapuram, Udgir, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, global humanitarian and founder of The Art of Living, kickstarted the International Yoga Day celebrations on 6th June by addressing the Indian Embassy in Bern, Switzerland, where senior diplomat officials and the staff underwent a powerful session of wisdom and meditation with Gurudev.
Following that, The Art of Living will celebrate International Day of Yoga 2019 with Common Yoga Protocol at thousands of locations across the country on 21 June.
