Yogi Adityanath Announces Five Newly Developed Spiritual Corridors After Mahakumbh Success

Maha Kumbh 2025 has opened new possibilities for spiritual tourism in Uttar Pradesh, and during this grand event, the Uttar Pradesh government developed five major spiritual corridors to make travel to religious sites easier for devotees. These corridors are expected to provide a significant boost to spiritual tourism across the state.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the success of these corridors while thanking various groups of people, including police personnel, sanitation workers, health workers, boatmen, media personnel, and transport drivers and operators, during his visit to Prayagraj on Thursday. The corridors will enable smooth travel to several important religious locations, further promoting spiritual tourism.

The five major spiritual corridors include:

  1. Prayag-Vindhyachal-Kashi Corridor: This corridor allows devotees to travel from Prayagraj to Vindhyachal Devidham and then to Varanasi, forming a key route for worshiping Shakti (Parvati) and Shiva (Lord Shiva).
  2. Prayagraj-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Corridor: Associated with Lord Rama and the Gorakhnath tradition, this corridor takes devotees from Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam to Ayodhya for the worship of Ramlala, before proceeding to Gorakhpur to pray at the Gorakhnath Temple.
  3. Prayagraj-Lucknow-Naimisharanya Corridor: Devotees will visit Naimisharanya Dham, one of the 88 Mahatirthas in Hinduism, known for its association with 88 thousand sages’ penance. The route is linked with Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Sati, and Lord Shiva.
  4. Prayagraj-Rajapur (Banda)-Chitrakoot Corridor: Tied to Lord Rama’s exile, this corridor will lead devotees to Chitrakoot Dham, home to significant sites like Kamadgiri Mountain, Ramghat, and Hanuman Dhara. Rajapur, the birthplace of Goswami Tulsidas, is also part of this corridor, celebrating his contributions to religious texts like the Shri Ramcharitmanas and Vinay Patrika.
  5. Prayagraj-Mathura-Vrindavan-Shuktirtha Corridor (via Bundelkhand Expressway): This corridor will allow devotees to visit Mathura-Vrindavan, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and continue to Shuktirtha, known for its association with Lord Krishna and Maharishi Shukracharya’s penance.

These corridors not only provide a seamless travel experience for pilgrims but also help to boost the region’s spiritual tourism significantly.
