Yadadri Temple not to be ready by annual Brahmotsavam ?

If the latest reports are to be believed the work on developing Yadagirigutta main temple, would not be completed for the annual Brahmotsavam, to be held in March, which was the deadline set for completing the work by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

According to the sources the Telanagana government’s prestigious project of renovating the Yadagirigutta temple has once again been rescheduled. Earlier the officials of Yadadri Temple Development Authority, and Minister for Endowments A. Indrakaran Reddy, believed the reconstruction of the main temple (phase I) would be completed by Dussehra in 2017, which was later revised to March this year for the annual Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Brahmotsavalu.

However it looks like that the current work status suggests a revision of the schedule, yet again. The Chief Minister, on his visit here in November 2017, had given strict instructions to officers and contractors to complete the work on schedule, but it did not gather the required pace after that, sources said. Some sources even say that the project might infact take couple of more years to complete as the number of workers are less.

With only the roads to the top of the shrine ready, and work on Mukhamandapam still under progress, devotees taking part in the annual Brahmotsavam would have to go to Balalayam temple that has no sufficient accommodation. Recently, District Collector Anita Ramachandran, who held a review of the temple work with all the officials reminded them of the schedule drawn up by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during his last visit.

She stated to have said that the construction of the main temple, pending land acquisition, linking of roads surrounding the hill shrine, and Mission Kakatiya work should be taken up on a war-footing basis, and be given the utmost priority.
