Ajmer Dargah Sharif’s Haji Syed Salman Chishty in Jaipur Literature Festival 2018

Ajmer Dargah Sharif Haji Syed Salman Chishty – Gaddi Nashin – Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman – Chishty Foundation will be representing  Dargah Sharif and Ajmer City at the prestigious and world famous Jaipur Literature Festival 2018 in Jaipur City.

Haji Syed Salman Chishty along with Prof Carl Ernst from Univeristy of North Carolina – USA will be chairing 2 different sessions at JLF2018 .

One session will be about Sufi Art of Calligraphy and Customs which shall be moderated by Riya Sarkar and BN Goswamy – a noted Art Historian. Mr. Chishty will talk about Sacred Art and its depiction through Calligraphy as well as International Sufi Rang Festival – an annual Sacred Sufi Art Exhibition Festival which Chishty Foundation initiated inside the Dargah Ajmer Sharif since last 10 years which was a first ever exhibit inside Dargah Sharif in its 800 years history.

Second session will be on the Chishty Sufi Culture and History of Chishty Sufism in South Asia based on the Book by Prof Carl Ernst – “Sufi Martyrs of Love” – The Chishty’s of South Asia.

Syed Salman Chishty will be sharing his remarks during the session.
