EID AL-ADHA ( Eid Al Adha/Bakrid ) is an Islamic holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide.

Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Adha or Bakrid 2019 on August 12 this year.

Eid Al Adha/Bakrid 2019

According to the Islamic lunar calendar, the dates are changed every year for Eid Al Adha or Bakrid.  This year it will be on 12th August 2019. The date depends on the sighting of the Crescent Moon.

Eid al-Adha is known as the festival of sacrifice. Special occasion includes prayers, special food and gifts of various kinds are given to everyone on this festival.

This very special day reminds the followers of Islam about sacrifice. According to the Quran, Allah came to Ibrahim in a dream and asked him to sacrifice his son Isma’il as an act of obedience to God.

Hajj ends on the day of Bakra Eid.
