Sri Jayatheerthacharya Aradhanotsavam from July 13 to 15

The Aaradhana Mahotsavams of Sri Jayatheerthacharya, (14the century) the sixth pontiff of Madhvacharya Peetha will be observed in Tirumala from July 13 to 15 under the aegis of Dasa Sahitya Project of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam.

Pontiffs hailing from various mutts, will take part in this three-day fete which will be observed in Asthana Mandapam at Tirumala in a religious manner under the supervision of the project officer Dr PR Anandatheerthacharyulu.

Sri Jayatheerthacharya, famously known as “Teekacharya” has penned more than 22 great works, consisting of commentaries on the works of Madhvacharya and several independent treatises. The important ones includes, Nyaya Sudha, Tatwa Prakashika, Prameya Deepika and Nyaya Deepika. He breathed his last at a tender age of 25years in the year 1388.

Every day there will be Mangalasasanam by various peethadhipathis between 10:30am and 12:30pm followed by Samuhika Sankeertana in the evening during these three days in Tirumala.
