Telangana, July 12; After the formation of Telangana state and new government taking over, it was decided that erstwhile Yadagirigutta to get its “due” prominence and build it into a modern temple town, no lesser than Tirumala. The first in the exercise was to change the name from Yadagirigutta to Yadadri.
This was followed by drawing up the plans for development of the temple town, developing prototypes, and then the work kicked off. Right from the day one, the development works of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple and temple town are fast progressing on Yadadri hill shrine and Peddagutta.

To speed up the development works of the main temple, the temple authorities have set up temporary protection walls with iron sheets and confined the movement of the devotees to Balalayam, but only darshan of the presiding deity of lord Sri Lakshiminarasimha Swamy devotees is being provided to the devotees.

The temple authorities have taken the decision to facilitate the drilling works on hill shine carried on uninterruptedly and do not cause any harm to the devotees. The buses and four-wheelers are also being allowed on to the hill shrine only through the newly-laid ghat road, while the old ghat road has been closed because of the ongoing work in the area.

According to the temple authorities, the construction of Rajagopurams of the main temple is going on at a fast pace. In addition to this, the construction of retaining wall has also been almost completed and Shilanyasa puja is also performed to launch the development work of Shivalayam on top of Yadadri hill shrine.
