1 Million To Chant Hanuman Chalisa Together On 21 June’s Solar Eclipse

1 Million To Chant Hanuman Chalisa Together On 21 June’s Solar Eclipse for World Peace, Under Aegis Of Vaidic Dharma Sansthan

Bangalore. Even as the world grapples with the onslaught of COVID-19 pandemic, The Art of Living’s Vaidic Dharma Sansthan, is organizing a one-of-its-kind mega recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa on 21 June, when India and some parts of Africa will witness a Solar Eclipse.  Hanuman Chalisa is a devotional hymn addressed to Lord Hanuman and is known for promoting peace, removing obstacles and warding off the malefic effects of planetary movements. Chanting it during the time of the Solar Eclipse is said to be 1000 times more effective.

Over 10 lakh people would come together for the chanting of Hanuman Chalisa 11 times together at 11 am on 21 June. People will light 11 lamps 11 times dedicating each to one of their family members or friends. The individuals who register for the event would be sent an online link to join the live chanting a day before the event. 3.70 lakh people have already registered including children and adults.

Ashutosh Chawla, Administrator, Jyotish & Vaastu, Vaidic Dharma Sansthan explaining the importance of the mass chanting says that 21 June Eclipse is significant as it is an Annular Solar Eclipse. Astrologically, the falling of an annular Solar Eclipse generally points to the onset of some epidemic, difficult period or global crisis, as could be seen in the previous annular Solar Eclipse which fell on 26 December last year. Incidentally, it was only after December that the COVID-19 pandemic came into notice and spiralled globally.  The 21 June Eclipse would last for around 6 hours from 9:15 am to 3:05 PM and would be longer than the 26 December one. With the 21 June eclipse being even more severe in nature, its malefic effects are expected to last for at least 6 months.

“Nature always provides hints to us about what challenges are coming ahead. If we are better prepared, we can deal with such things better,” says Ashutosh.

Why recite Hanuman Chalisa during Eclipse: The upcoming annular Solar Eclipse would happen under the Gemini Zodiac sign. Lord Hanuman is the deity who happens to be associated with the elements of Rudra, Vayu and Mangal, and the Nakshatras during which the eclipse would happen. As Lord Hanuman is also hailed as the remover of obstacles, negative vibrations and providing protection, chanting the hymn could help in alleviating stress, promoting world peace and ward over its ill-effects.

Vaidic Dharma Sansthan would be following the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa with Grahan Shanti Homa and Rudra Homa on 22 June. Everyone is invited to be a part of the mass chanting and join the recitation and pujas in large numbers.
